Having been in the futures trading business for 20 years now, our experience tells us that a futures trader has to start by defining their needs.

We have found that most futures traders fit into one of two categories:

  1. High volume day traders, arbitrage, scalpers, and swing traders who spend most of their time trading in front of their computer.
  2. Long term futures and options traders who want full control over their account (their orders will not be executed without their final approval) but may not have the time to constantly monitor their positions and are willing to pay extra for help in defining and implementing trading strategies, monitoring and executing trading ideas, and using strategies that help reduce risk.

That is why we at Cannon Trading have developed two different divisions to cater specifically to these two different types of traders: Discount Futures and Full-Service Futures.
